COP will manage EPC activities on the World’s first Energy Island
On November 30 Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Investors in the Vindø Consortium, Andel, Pension Denmark and PFA, announced the selection of Njord Group to jointly develop and prepare a bid for the Energy Island in the Danish North Sea.
Copenhagen Offshore Partners (COP) has supported the establishment of the partnership and is honored to manage the EPC activities in the project on behalf of CIP and its investors. COP looks forward to work with CIP, the Vindø Consortium and Njord Group to realise the world’s first energy island and unlock the rapid and unprecedented build-out of global offshore renewable energy to fight climate change.
The energy island in the Danish North Sea will be located on the west coast approx. 80-100 kilometers from shore.
