COP engaged for Canadian offshore wind project

COP to develop Canadian offshore wind project

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners announced on September 28, 2016 that it has established a partnership with the Canadian-based developer Beothuk Energy to develop the 180MW St Georges Bay Project off the coast of Newfoundland.

COP has been engaged by CIP and its investment funds to lead the project development jointly with Beothuk Energy until a power purchase agreement has been obtained. After obtaining a power purchase agreement COP will, on behalf of CIP and its investment funds, lead the project to Financial Close and through the construction phase in cooperation with Beothuk Energy.
